About every FIRST FRIDAY of the month Filmtheater De Witt screens an English language film or a film with English subtitles. With pleasure we present this to our international fellow-citizens, but Dutchies are welcome too.
On the 5th of Setember it’s a marriage comedy THE ROSES, with a cracking acting couple – Olivia Colman and Benedict Cumberbatch.
The life of the perfect couple, Ivy (Olivia Colman) and Theo (Benedict Cumberbatch), seems simple: a successful career, a loving marriage, wonderful children. Yet beneath the façade of their so-called ideal life, a storm is brewing. When Theo’s career takes a nosedive while Ivy’s own ambitions soar, a hotbed of fierce rivalry and hidden resentment begins to grow.
